Another page made with Lesley's Imbolc Inspiration kit

Was going through some photos on my computer and found these I took at the zoo last year. I thought the mother Gorilla cuddling her baby was a perfect picture to use with this kit, and I had to add the daddy to complete the family, (plus I just love the silverbacks aren't they gorgeous). The whole time we were there, he just sat in the sun watching over his family. The only time he moved was when one of the young gorilla's came over and started annoying him. Sounds like pretty much any other man I know LOL!

Another turn of the wheel

This Sunday sees the Wheel of the year once again turn. Here in the Southern Hemisphere we are moving into Imbolc. Winter is starting to fade and spring awakens bringing with it the emerging seeds we planted long ago.

To make this next turning Lesley from Nutkin Tailz Designs has created a gorgeous new kit called Imbolc Inspirations which will be available for sale from Digital Craft Cottage next week.

Here are a few layouts I created using this beautiful kit.

A wonderful achievement

My eldest son loves karate and has recently got back to training after a severe injury to his foot. Prior to that he competed in the NSW State Titles for his style of Karate. For his age division 40+ boys aged 12-14 years took to the mat. They had to get through 5 knockout rounds and a semi-final to reach the final gold medal fight. Daniel made it through and had to fight one of his training partners and good mates in the final for the gold medal. It was an awesome fight, which Daniel narrowly lost, making his runner up in the state and receiver of a silver medal. We were so proud of him. Here is a page I made of his final fight and his medal presentation using Nutkin Tailz just released kit "All About Men".

Finally on sale

Lesley from NutkinTailz Designs 2 kits All About Men and Herbal Grimore are finally available to buy at http://www.digitalcraftcottage.com/lc/. This was fantastic timing for me as I am currently up to the herbal section of the BOS I am currently working on. Here are 2 of the pages I created from her kit for my book.

Lesley from http://nutkintailz.blogspot.com/ and myself. I really loved this page and the thought that went into making it especially at a very sad time for Brenda. Hugs to you.

Its school holidays here and the boys just seem to want to eat ALL day! So I have spent the last 2 days baking. The little 3 really love the fairy biscuits I made, actually the big 2 love them also. This is a scrap I made with the recipe of the fairy biscuits and a pic of Storm licking the icing off the top. I used the Savoury kit from Raspberry Rd and also some elements from Efie's Pots and Pans.

I spent most of a cold overcast day at a Metro Karate Tournament today. It was my 5 year old son Sean's first tournament and although he didn't win, he put in a great effort and enjoyed himself. We are so proud of him.

This was incorporated into the ritual we did with our 2 older boys on the eve of yule this year.
The page was made using the gorgeous Yelena Yule kit by Nutkintailz Designs.

Also in March, Sean did his first grading and earned is Red belt.

This is Daniel, my eldest receiving his Brown belt from his last grading in March 2009
