Our Zoo Trip
On the weekend we took the kids to the zoo. What a wonderful day we had, except for one thing. My son Tristan just loves Orangutans, thats all he wanted to see. When we got to where their exhibit was it was empty, they had taken them off display to re-arrange enclosures or something. Of all the animals that could have not been on display it had to be the one that one of the kids really wanted to see. Evening seeing the new baby elephant they have there wasn't enough to brighten him up from the lack of "rangas". Overall between myself and my eldest son we took some 900 photos. So I think I will be scrapping zoo pics for months lol. Here are a few layouts I have made so far.

Don't You Just Love Friends
I think its totally wonderful and amazing that you can make such wonderful friends with people who live on the other side of the world and who you have never met. All through the internet and a common interest. Since starting scrapbooking a few years ago I have made friends with some amazing women and renewed a friendship with a wonderful friend with whom I had a falling out years ago. Some of these friends helped me out when I lost everything on my scrapping HD, one has invited me to be part of her CT, one even invited me to her wedding last year. All have been extremely supportive when myself and a few other of my friends got removed from a scrapbooking site earlier this year because we stood up for what we believed in, which differed from what they were trying to enforce. A few of these friends recently made scrap pages at this site saying they missed our presence there and I love their creations that they are posted below.

Daniel's Karate Grading
Last weekend Daniel went away for the spring grading camp for karate. Twice a year, the higher grades have a weekend of intensive training followed on Sunday after by a 4 hour grading. Daniel did this one pretty hard. He was stuck in a room with someone who has harassed him mentally for 3 years then to top it off was attacked by mozzies, with his feet swelling up, and it turns out he is allergic. So he had to stand on swollen, itchy feet all afternoon, but it was worth it as he passed his grade to become 1st Kyu (senior brown belt). Here are some of the pics I took.

Birthdays are special
We have a tradition in our house, for each of the kids birthday's at cake time, I make them all stand together and get a family photo. Some of the time they grumble and complain, but I hope in years to come, the appreciate this small tradition and its importance. Here is the latest forced brotherly love photo lol, from Jordan's birthday last week. Kit: Whispers - Irene Alexeeva.

Welcome Spring
Spring is certainly here. I have the allergies and hayfever to prove it LOL. With all the blossoming of flowers in my garden and the fact I haven't done a Goddess affirmation page in so long, I decided to create one for spring and the Goddess Cordelia was the obvious choice. I created this page with Nutkin Tailz Designs kit Imbolc Inspiration available at Digital Craft Cottage

Jordan's 10th Birthday
My 2nd eldest son Jordan had his 10th birthday yesterday, that's 3 birthdays for us in 4 weeks, not good timing lol. The poor boy had to have a shop brought cake, as the one I made didn't turn out quite right and I didn't have enough time or ingredients to start over. Here are a few pics from yesterday.

Young Love
This year my eldest son Daniel reached many milestones. Started high school, became a teenager and got his first real girlfriend Kim (you know other than type when you are in primary school where you say you are going out, but you don't go anywhere just to school lol). They are so well suited and share many common interest, most especially karate.
